A quick update.
Drove Harvey up to Knaresborough, Yorkshire to pick up a trailer for transporting the car and spent a couple of nights in the Caravan Club Site up there. We had broken the journey on the way up with a night in the Caravan Club Site at Wythall, near Birmingham, and had liked the area so we stopped for an extra couple of nights on the way back. On the Saturday we walked about four miles around the local countryside, stopping for a pub lunch in Weatheroak en route. Harvey performed impeccably up and back and I barely noticed that there was a fairly large trailer following us.
So now we are back at Grimstone for a bit longer. I am still trying to organise a driving course to upgrade my C1+E licence but it is proving more difficult than originally thought. Tricia is trying to keep busy but going quietly nuts with boredom.
This may yet be the year we cross the channel but perhaps not until after the summer.
